FAQ

The code is used by ourselves frequently, so we keep it up to date. We also accept pull requests and issues on GitHub. If there is any bug we will fix it immediately.
Feature requests are also very welcome. We will consider them and implement them if they are useful for the community.

In simple words: You can use the code for whatever you want once you bought it besides reselling the code to someone else.

Feel free to use it for hobby projects, commercial projects, or whatever. Just no reselling pls!

Django-cookie-cutter is an excellent choice to get started as well. We used it for some time ourselves. However, we found that it is a bit too bloated for our needs. In our opinion it has too many technical features but lacks some essential business related feaures.

Let me give you some examples:
  • It does not provide any landingpage
  • Necessary pages such as customer portal, imprint, login and so on do not exist or are not well developed
  • It does not provide a payment system
  • Marketing & lead collection features are completely missing
